This class will be an Introductory class on Buddhist Mindfulness Meditation and Philosophy of Mind.

Each class will consist of instruction, formal meditation, open discussion, Q & A and tea.

This course is a drop-in class open to all levels of practice. Senior students will lead the meditations and subsequent discussion. This class is an excellent to begin your Buddhist practice and an excellent way to deepen it.

The course will continue throughout the summer - Tuesday nights.

It runs weekly on Thursdays, from 7-9pm and is a mix of meditation, teachings and discussion. Each class is self-contained and open to all, including drop-ins.

Chuck has been a practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism since 1981. He has studied extensively with many Tibetan meditation masters. He undertook intensive Buddhist learning and retreats in India / Nepal for four years before settling in Vancouver, BC in 1986. There he helped to found and gradually became a senior student in Lama Zasep Rinpoche’s Zuru Ling Buddhist meditation centre. He completed a 7 year program of Buddhist studies in 2005 at Zuru Ling. For 5 years he taught an introductory course in Mahayana Buddhism at the college level in Vancouver. Chuck continues his studies and practice, engaging in regular personal meditation retreats. Chuck’s considerable experience with Sutra and Tantric Buddhism, in terms of both study and retreat, makes him an excellent teacher. His teaching style is gentle, thoughtful, and interactive, and he has an ability to relate to students at their own level. At the request of his main lama, Zasep Rinpoche, Chuck has been teaching at various Dharma centres in North America for the last 12 years.
