TEACHINGS & INITIATIONS
VEN. ZASEP RINPOCHE'S FEB. 2012 VANCOUVER VISIT
We are very pleased to announce that our precious Lama, Ven. Zasep Rinpoche will return to Vancouver during the week of Feb. 21-28, 2012, to lead an in-house White Mahakala Meditation Practice Retreat for initiates.
Daily Retreat Schedule:
9:00am - 10:30 sadhana practice session
11:00am - 12:30 session
12:30 - 3:00 Lunch break
3:00 - 5:00 afternoon session
5:00 - 7:00 dinner break
7:00 - 9:00 evening session
On Feb. 21st at both 9:00am and 7:00pm, Rinpoche will bestow the "Lung" or Permission Ritual for the White Mahakala practice for those who did not receive the actual Tantric Initiation for this Deity.
On Wed. Feb. 23rd we will celebrate "Losar" or Tibetan Lunar New Year [Year of the Water Dragon] with Rinpoche at 7:00pm
Retreat by suggested donation - $10. per session
(Weekly classes will be canceled during Rinpoche's visit).

NEW WEEKLY PROGRAMMING ON TUESDAYS & SUNDAYS - STARTING JAN. 29TH, 2012
TUESDAY NIGHT CLASS - STAGES OF THE PATH OF ENLIGHTENMENT
This course, open to all levels of practice, will present a graduated method of studying and meditating on the various topics and values of Buddhism. A good class for both beginners and advanced students alike. The class will be equally split between study, meditation and group discussion.
From 7pm-9pm on Tuesdays and suggested donation of $10.
SUNDAY MORNING CLASS - INTRODUCTION TO TANTRA
This class will be a group study of Buddhist Saint, Yogi and Scholar Aryadeva's famous text, "The Lamp that integrates the Practices". This is a profound text on the study of tantra. After each study session we will then do a group meditation practice. The specific practice will change weekly.
The course will start with a 4 Mandala Offering to Tara [this specific Puja is open to Initiates].
From 10am-12am on Sundays and suggested donation of $10.

LAMA CHOPA - OFFERING TO THE SPIRITUAL GUIDE BUDDHIST FEAST-OFFERING PRAYER CEREMONY
Lama Chopa is a traditional Gelugpa Tibetan Buddhist Prayer Ceremony that both invokes the Blessing-Energy, Compassion & Wisdom of all our Teachers and Buddhas and presents a guided meditation on the full scope of the Buddhist Path.
This ceremony will be a prayer-vigil and healing meditation practice as well as a pot-luck and "open house" for our Temple.
Open to all. New members and visitors most welcome.
